Clarity

The elimination of ambiguity. It enables users to see, understand, and act with confidence.

Why it matters

Confusion is the enemy of conversion. If a user has to pause to figure out what a button does or where to find information, trust is eroded. Clear designs reduce cognitive load, prevent errors, and make the product feel faster and more professional.

Core Pillars

Visual Hierarchy

Use size, color, and spacing to guide the user's eye to the most important elements.

Clear Language

Avoid jargon. Use simple, direct language that users understand.

Feedback

Provide immediate and clear feedback for every user action.

Whitespace

Use whitespace to separate elements and reduce cognitive load.

Clarity Checklist

  1. One primary action per screen

Don't overwhelm the user with too many choices at once.

  2. Descriptive labels

Buttons should say what they do (e.g., "Delete Account" instead of "OK").

  3. Consistent iconography

Use standard icons that users already recognize.
