How to Run It

  1. Propose: Clearly state the proposal or decision to be made. "We propose to adopt X strategy."
  2. Vote: Ask the team to raise their hands on the count of three showing 0-5 fingers.
  3. Discuss: If everyone is a 3, 4, or 5, you have consensus. If anyone is a 0, 1, or 2, ask them to explain their objection.
  4. Resolve: Address the concerns raised and modify the proposal if necessary, then vote again.
